Summer Florals

As I was tidying our store last Sunday night (a prime time for finding hidden gems or one-off Internet returns) I came upon this dress which I hadn't seen instore before. I think it was possibly from one of Topshop's S/S '12 collections, as it had been reduced to fifteen pounds in the sale! I immediately fell for the beautiful summery colours which are more to my taste than some of the brighter, tropical florals that we're seeing this season.

Mustard is one of my favourite colours to wear as I think it always adds a surprising element to any outfit; it's quite a bold colour yet it's wearable and flattering. I think the colour combination in this dress is one of the prettiest I've seen on the high street in a long time.

I'm going to my first wedding since I was four years old next month, and I've decided to build my outfit
around this dress. I'd rather save myself money to find a perfect bag or shoe than splurge on another dress when this one is perfect for a summer wedding! I'll be sure to post the outfit I put together closer to the time.
